"Medina Oven & Bar specializes in Moroccan-Mediterranean Cuisine. And embraces a warm European culture of community. It is a lively, dining experience."

Paula and I went to visit the Dior exhibit. Someone in our party suggested that we eat at Medina's. We had not heard of it so we were not sure what to expect. It turned out to be a keeper.

Medina Oven & Bar is a small restaurant in Dallas' West End area. There is another restaurant next door (Buzzbrew.) More restaurants are nearby.

We went to Medina after the lunch crowd. The food was superb!

As I said, we were in downtown Dallas and decided to go to Medina Oven & Bar. There were no crowds because of the time that we went. The restaurant and bar are small with outdoor seating.

The food was really good. I had the almond crusted tilapia sandwich. The fish was crispy but not overcooked which is hard to achieve.

Others in my party had the Seven Vegetable Couscous, the Oregano-Fennel Lamb Sausage Pizza and the Ras El Hanout Calamari Salad. We also had the Mixed Platter to Share appetizer.

Everything was delicious. Not one complaint. There was so much food that we brought enough for a meal back home. That is except for the Calamari Salad which was eaten with no left overs.

While Paula and I prefer to Dine the Bar, this was not the occasion to do that. Had we come by ourselves and during the lunch rush, the bar would have been ideal.

As we were walking out, I noticed a large jar behind the bar with what looked like pineapple slices. I asked about it and the bartender said it was vodka infused with roasted pineapple and cardamon. He offered each of us a sample in a shot glass with a cherry. It was so good and smooth! We'll have more of that on our next visit.

I definitely recommend Medina Oven & Bar. We were there for the lunch menubut my guess is that the evening menu and meal is also terrific.
