Animia's, Flower Mound, Texas
Animia's is described as a "(b)ranch of a family-run chain turning out Tex-Mex favorites in an upbeat space with a shaded patio."
Paula and I go out most Friday nights. We chose Animia's as one of the places we wanted to try and went there on May 5, 2019.
The outside and bar of Animia's in Flower Mound, TX.
The outside of Animia's in Flower Mound, TX looks like you would expect it to look in Flower Mound. It has a nice, and busy, outside dining area as well as a nice bar area inside. We were ready to try it out.
The hot sauce was meh.. at best. The frozen margaritas were OK, nothing special.
We went to Animia's in Flower Mound because we had heard good things about it. We always dine at the bar when we go out and Animia's has a very nice bar. There were only two seats available when we arrived so we grabbed them quickly. The bar is great for enjoying the bar like atmosphere that we do. The drinks and food, were, OK.
The food was good, not great, but good. I love Flauta's, sometimes called Flautita's, and usually order them at a Mexican restaurant. It's kind of like ordering onion soup at a French restaurant, it gives you a good hint about the quality of the food.
The version of Crazy Nachos or Nachos Locos was pretty good. We enjoyed them. Of course the greatest Crazy Nachos come from Herrera's Cafe on Sylvan Ave. in Dallas but the ones at Animia's were good.
